About me

My story

The gluten free lifestyle came into my life unexpectedly in May 2013, prompted by a visit to a GI doctor. Years of dealing with discomfort, bloating, and post-meal pain finally led me to seek medical help, thanks to my persistent mom's encouragement. What followed was a somewhat awkward discussion with the doctor about my symptoms (getting personal, way too quickly). Blood was drawn during that visit, and the news came back in less than a day indicating the need for an endoscopy to confirm the suspicion of Celiac disease.

Honestly, the term "Celiac" was completely unfamiliar to me. It sounded ominous, like something that could turn my world upside down. The day I got the diagnosis, I dove into hours of research, trying to understand the impact of Celiac on the body and how it would reshape my diet. It felt overwhelming – and a tad unfair – to have to overhaul my eating habits so swiftly. The learning curve was steep – What foods were now off-limits? There's gluten in that? How can I navigate this new reality?

Embracing and adapting to this new lifestyle has been a journey of growth and positivity. With over a decade of experience, I'm excited to share the valuable insights and positive aspects of navigating a gluten free life with you!
